🇬🇧 Traveling to the UK?

From April 2nd, 2025, most non-British/Irish visitors (including EU nationals) must obtain an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorisation) in advance.

Info for French citizens

🇫🇷 Traveling to France (PAF & EES)

On arrival and departure, the PAF (French Border Police) will check passports and collect biometric data as part of the new EU Entry/Exit System (EES). Please ensure your passport is valid for at least 3 months after your return date.

What does "No PAF on arrival" mean?

The police may not be able to come to Boulogne for certain late evening arrivals. If your chosen date has this notice and you need to clear entry into the EU Schengen Area then please contact us so we can advise you on how best to do it.

ETIAS travel authorisation

Later in 2026 the ETIAS travel authorisation for non-EU citizens is expected to come into force. Like the ETA for travel to the UK, the ETIAS will be a registration procedure that non-Schengen nationals will have to complete in advance of travel. We will post further details once they become confirmed.

Return Trips

To book a return trip, start by entering all your details and selecting your one-way journey. Once the first booking is complete, click the "+" button at the top of the booking page to add your return trip. Simply select the return journey and confirm your previously created profile. Thinking of a day trip?

Doing a round trip in a single day means at least 8 hours of sailing and sometimes only 1 hour ashore at the port of call.

To fully enjoy the experience, we generally recommend planning an overnight stay between crossings.

Please only book a day trip if you are ready to take on the challenge.
